Q&A with Collette Cameron

Her lashes slowly lifted, and his heart turned to stone at the resignation and defeat in her eyes. “Then I regret, my lord, that I must decline your offer of marriage. I’ll not be married and widowed within a day’s time.” ~ Miss Blythe Culpepper & Tristan, Lord Leventhorpe

TO LOVE A RECKLESS LORD by Collette Cameron

What story are you working on next, and what inspired it?

I’ve just finished SEDUCTIVE SURRENDER, the sixth and final book in my Highland Heather Romancing a Scot series.

This was Dugall Ferguson’s story and he had to wait a long time to have his tale told. I introduced him as a cocky, too-handsome-for-his-own-good sixteen-year-old in HIGHLANDER’S HOPE.

Do you have to be alone or have quiet to write?

Absolute quiet! My writing room is upstairs, away from the family and noise. I have a pair of headphones I put on to block out all distractions too.

What appeals most to you about your genre?

I adore history and learning all kinds of interesting tidbits as research for my books.

Favorite color?

Blue! Specifically cobalt and royal blue. My readers are always messaging me on Facebook with some pretty blue thing they’ve found for me.

What is your favorite non-writing pastime?

Other than reading? I love to garden and hike. I live in the Pacific Northwest and we have lots of gorgeous hiking trails.
