A Reader's Opinion: THE BEAUTY OF LOVE by Dorothy Wiley

THE BEAUTY OF LOVE by Dorothy Wiley

A READER'S OPINION

THE BEAUTY OF LOVE is only the second book I've read by this author, but now I'm determined to go through and read the full American Wilderness series. In this story we meet Edward Wyllie and Dora Tudor, two people who are meant to be together. Of course, as they say, true love doesn't always come easy. I was pulled into the story from the first chapter filled with sadness, action, and hope. The author sets you on a roller-coaster from page one, which kept the story moving at a nice pace. The unfolding of events takes place gradually, leaving the reader to wonder what is coming next.

This is a story about mending guilt and wounded hearts, learning to trust in yourself and in love, and of course, there's enough adventure and history mixed in to make this a truly interesting and enjoyable book. THE BEAUTY OF LOVE is a title that perfectly describes a story filled with faith, tenderness, and hope.

BOOK SYNOPSIS

Brought together after tragedy, Edward Wyllie and Dora Tudor find the true beauty of love in this poignant and thrilling historical romance set in 1800 Boston and New Hampshire. In an unlikely place for new beginnings, a cemetery, Edward and Dora meet for the first time. But in that forlorn place, the beauty of love blossoms. Edward is still struggling with guilt over the death of his family more than a year ago—a guilt so great he’s unable to even look at his childrens’ gravestones. As their friendship grows, Dora forces Edward to confront the truth—their deaths were not his fault. And Edward gives Dora, a young Boston widow, a chance to seize love and learn the meaning of passion.

Inspired by history, Wiley’s books may all be read independently, including her highly-acclaimed debut novel WILDERNESS TRAIL OF LOVE, the first in her American Wilderness Series.
