THE COLLECTION

A READER'S OPINION

The Salt Hendon Collection by Lucinda Brant consists of two novels and a novella. This was a nice introduction for me into this author's work since I hadn't read her books before. I also don't believe I've read Georgian romance before so it was a nice change. There are all kinds of wonderful characters; some are fascinating and likeable while others are intriguing and evil. I thought the well-blended variety made for very interesting stories. The author has a nice writing style A lot happens in this collection--too much for one review without giving away important plot points. I enjoyed both novels, but Salt Bride pulled me into the story and held me more than Salt Redux, though both were enjoyable. I liked spending more time with the characters I came to like in the first book, and I would definitely recommend starting with book one. Salt Angel is a little gem of a novella and a nice addition to the collection. There's a lot going on, so pay attention and you'll enjoy the romance and adventure. This collection by a gifted writer is sure to delight fans of historical romance.
